The Resurrection on Trial
October 18, 2020 Speaker: Keith Kneeshaw Series: ACTS: Witnesses to the Power of God
Passage: Acts 22:30– 25:27
These chapters in Acts trace Paul's experience of being in Roman custody. He stands before the Jewish Council, two Roman governors, and the king of that region. Due to his Roman citizenship, he was given the opportunity to speak his defense, and in these times, he spoke about the truth of the resurrection and that Jesus was alive. He did so because the resurrection provides God's people with reason to hope, but the resurrection is also tied to the coming judgment which gives many people reason to fear. Which does it bring to you: hope or fear?
