Topic: Resurrection Passage: 1 Corinthians 15:3–5, Colossians 1:15–20
For Easter Sunday, we will look specifically at the resurrection of Jesus and why that is the foundation of our hope in Christ. The Apostle Paul teaches in 1 Corinthians 15:3-5 that Jesus' death and resurrection were both "in accordance with the Scriptures." Basically, the Old Testament writers were looking forward to the Messiah's sacrificial death and his resurrection that gives us life. His resurrection is a new beginning.
