In this sermon, we will take an initial look at the crucifixion and will delve further into it at the Good Friday service. Mark 15:16-39 will lead us through the narrative of Jesus on the cross. He was mocked, beaten, stripped, and hung on a cross in order to humiliate him. Those who carried out the crucifixion wondered how a man who could not save himself could possibly save his people. Yet, he laid down his life for us and for our salvation. Hallelujah, what a Savior! Listen as we reflect on the goodness of God brought about by the most horrific evil ever perpetrated on this earth.
