We are continuing our study of the Sermon on the Mount, exploring Jesus’ teaching method: “You have heard that it was said... but I say to you.” In Matthew 5:21–30, Jesus moves beyond merely addressing outward actions to reveal the deeper condition of the heart. We will examine His teaching on anger and murder, as well as lust and adultery, discovering how God’s kingdom calls us to a righteousness that goes far beyond external obedience.
