2026 Women’s Retreat FAQs

When is the Retreat?

The Weekend of Friday, November 6th at 5pm through Sunday, November 8th at 11am.

Where is the Retreat?

Our Retreat is held at a home ON Lake Norman, NC about 2.5 hours from Grace Point Church.

How much is the Retreat?

The total cost is $100. A $50 deposit is due at registration, with the remaining $50 due BEFORE you arrive on Friday, November 6th.

If you need a scholarship or assistance with payment, please contact Teena Salter (peterteena@gmail.com). We want to help make the Retreat accessible to anyone who would like to attend!

Is the deposit refundable if I can’t attend after all?

Unfortunately, deposits are non-refundable. Because of our rental arrangements and the costs associated with reserving the house, we are unable to refund deposits if you are unable to attend.

What are the accommodations like?

We will be staying together in a comfortable house with multiple bedrooms, living areas, and outdoor spaces where we can relax, fellowship, and spend time together throughout the weekend.

Will I have a roommate?

Yes! When you register, you will have the opportunity to list a roommate preference. We will do our best to accommodate everyone’s requests, although we cannot guarantee that every roommate request can be fulfilled.

Can I come by myself if I don’t know anyone?

Absolutely! Many ladies come not knowing anyone. You’ll meet plenty of new people throughout the weekend, and there will be lots of opportunities to connect, fellowship, and make new friends.

What is the food situation?

All meals are included in the cost of the Retreat. We try to keep meals simple, delicious, and easy to prepare while taking food allergies and dietary needs into consideration. If you have a food allergy or special dietary requirement, please reach out to Anna Morris (ahmorris07@yahoo.com) when you register.

What do we do all weekend?

The majority of our time is spent together in worship, teaching, fellowship, and small groups. We also set aside a large block of time on Saturday for Free Time—because sometimes a retreat should include a good nap!

Here is an example of what a typical retreat schedule looks like. Please note that this year’s schedule may vary.

What is the teaching about?

This year we will delve into the book of Habakkuk and explore the question “How long, O Lord?” Our speaker is Linda Kneeshaw!

What do we do with our Free Time on Saturday?

Literally, anything you want!

Take a nap. Read a book. Sit outside and enjoy the view. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can swim in the lake, paddleboard, relax in the hot tub, or take a walk around the neighborhood.

Feel free to BYO-board games or crafts to enjoy with other ladies. You can also venture out and explore the area, including local shopping, restaurants, and even a nearby racetrack.

Free Time is your time—rest, have fun, explore, or do absolutely nothing!

What should I wear?

Come comfortable! Most ladies dress casually throughout the weekend, but you do you!

Want to wear pajamas all weekend? No judgment. Want to dress up? Go for it! There’s no dress code for the Retreat.

If you plan to swim or use the hot tub, don’t forget your bathing suit!

What should I pack?

We will send out a packing list closer to the Retreat to help you know what to bring.

In the meantime, here is an example packing list  from previous years.

How do we get to Retreat?

We will send out the address to the house with the packing list and other important info once registration is closed! We highly recommend that you carpool with other ladies that are attending, as parking is limited at the house. We will send out a list of ladies registered closer to the Retreat.

What’s the deadline for registration?

The registration deadline is October 31st. The Women’s Team will be working hard to get everything ready for the Retreat the week prior. So, if you know you plan to attend, please register ASAP!

We can’t wait to spend the weekend with you!
