In this sermon, we will begin a series focusing on Covenant Theology. Even though covenants are the relational fabric of the entire Bible and the basis of God's faithfulness to us, they are seemingly absent in many people's understanding of the Scriptures. Yet, the term covenant is found in the Old Testament and spans to the New Testament as Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper and is central to the book of Hebrews. This week, we will introduce the concept of covenants and also look at the Covenant of Works, which God made with Adam (Genesis 2:5-17) and all humanity (Romans 5:12-21). Listen now as we see how these concepts display God's amazing love for us, even when we go our own way.
