Numbers 26-27
Next

As God promised earlier in the book of Numbers, the entire generation that rebelled against him died in the wilderness. Now in Numbers 26 and 27, the next generation stands ready to enter the Promised Land. When God commands Moses to take a census of the people, the passage pauses to remind us that not one of the former generation remained. Even so, God’s promise still stands. He is unmoved by shifting circumstances. He is unchanged in his purpose for his people. His love endures beyond their unfaithfulness. And knowing that this new generation needs a shepherd to lead them, God provides Joshua as the next leader. Join us on Sunday as we consider what it means to trust God with whatever comes next.
