Many of us grew up singing the familiar children’s song, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine!” The words are seared into our memories, yet living them out faithfully can be far more difficult. Distractions, idols, the desire for others’ approval, and the pursuit of worldly success can all become obstacles that keep us from letting the light of Christ shine through us. Join us this Sunday as we turn to Matthew 5:13–16 and hear that childhood refrain once again—beseeching God’s Spirit for his help and strength.
