Total Solar eclipse on August 21 at 2:41pm: During the weekend of August 18-21, 2017 there are over 1 million visitors projected to come to the Columbia, SC area because of the best viewing location, with the longest duration of the solar eclipse lasting 2:36. There are already visitors coming from Germany and throughout Asia.
