Teach, Model, and Serve
Our desire with the Grace Point Student Ministry is to join our families to see middle and high school students become disciples of Jesus Christ and to pursue him with their entire lives, beginning right where they are. By God’s grace, we aim to do this through three main ways which describe the rhythms of the ministry:
Teach
Our times of teaching and digging into God’s Word together takes place throughout each week.
-
Sunday School: Middle and High Sunday School classes are held each week from 11:15-12:00. These are times geared toward growing in our understanding of Scripture and applying these truths to our lives.
-
Youth Group: Middle and High Schoolers gather together on Sunday evenings from 5:00-7:00pm. Here we not only have times of games and activities, but study and discuss various topics which pertain to our world, our church, and ourselves. We then break up into small groups based on grade and gender to have deeper discussions.
-
Small Groups: Throughout the week, small groups based on grade and gender meet in homes of students or leaders in order to share our lives with one another, spend time in Scripture together, and to pray with one another. The groups are currently meeting either on Monday or Wednesday nights.
Model
Intentional time of modeling Christ takes place not only through our regular rhythms each week, but special events to be able to get together throughout the year. These include our annual Spring Break Retreat and our monthly Youth Events.
Serve
Our desire is to see students using their spiritual gifts to serve the church, and the community around them. We do this through our Service Sunday every 5th Sunday of the month, local and foreign mission trips, among other outlets.
