From the Depths of Woe

March 3, 2024 Speaker: Keith Kneeshaw Series: Psalms

Passage: Psalm 130

In this sermon, we will continue to look at the honesty of the Psalms by studying Psalm 130 this Sunday. This Psalm picks up similar themes as last Sunday of crying out to God in the midst of great turmoil and struggle. His cry for help does not turn to immediate resolution. Instead, God leads the writer to embrace waiting and find his hope as he waits for God to respond. God's timing does not match our timing, but "with the Lord is steadfast love... and plentiful redemption."  Listen as we are led by the Psalms to cry out to God in our suffering.

Notes:
1) The Depths of Distress
- Desperate Plea
- Humbling Awareness
2) The Heights of Assurance
- Connection of Waiting and Hope
- Confidence in Redemption
