On Sunday, we will open one of the most familiar passages of Scripture, Psalm 23. It is often memorized by God's people, and as a result, it is read at funerals as words of comfort and peace. The words describing God's presence and his leading provide us with comfort in times of deep darkness. His care for his people is evident in the comparison to a shepherd with his sheep, and yet, our wellbeing is not the primary motivator for his loving protection. His steadfast love for us is rooted in his own pursuit of his glory. Listen as we study how God shepherds his people.
