When we were children, we had no problem asking for things. We asked our parents for everything, even to the point where we were often selfish and completely self-absorbed. As we grew into adulthood, asking becomes much more difficult. In good ways, we have grown out of some of our selfishness. Yet, in other ways, we feel like we can't ask. Asking shows that we can't do it on our own. Asking reveals our need. Asking is truly humbling. In James 1:5-8, God says for us to ask him if we lack wisdom, and he will give it. Do you find yourself unwilling to ask for the wisdom you need? Do you go through life trying to figure it out on your own? The life of faith is humbly laying our need before the Lord and trusting him with the provision. Join us on Sunday as we explore how God meets us in our need of wisdom.
