We will continue in our series through the Beatitudes by looking at Matthew 5:5. Jesus says there that the meek will inherit the earth. The meek are not weak people. Instead, they are characterized by gentleness and strength that is under control. They are people who have become so convinced of God's grace, so confident in their Father's care, and so secure in God's promises that they no longer feel compelled to fight for what God has already guaranteed them in Christ. As a result, gentleness shows up in their lives. Join us on Sunday as we explore how gentleness reveals how deeply we have internalized the Gospel.
