Matthew 5:7
Blessed Are The Merciful

Is there any sweeter word in Scripture than “mercy”? To receive mercy—to be spared the punishment we rightly deserve—is central to the gospel and a blessing beyond compare. But what does Jesus mean when He tells us to be merciful? We love receiving mercy, but are we really called to extend that same mercy to others?

Join us this Sunday as we continue our journey through the Beatitudes and consider Matthew 5:7: “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.” Together, we’ll explore what it means to live as people who have received the mercy of Christ—and who, in turn, are called to show that mercy to others.
