Called to Follow

September 26, 2021 Speaker: Todd Boone Series: He Came to Serve

Passage: Mark 9:14–50

Of all the challenging jobs and tasks that we have undertaken in our lives, would we say that following Jesus is the hardest thing we have done? The disciples come down from their mountain-top experience with Jesus at the Transfiguration (9:2-13), and Jesus takes the time to show them the difficult task ahead of them, of bearing the name of Christ. To be a disciple of Christ means pursuing greater faith, humility, and holiness. Are we ready for the call of discipleship? Listen as we see what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

Notes:
1) Dependent Disciples (vv. 14-29)
2) Teachable Disciples (vv. 30-32)
3) Humble Disciples (vv. 33-41)
4) Holy Disciples (vv. 42-50)
