I Am With You

Passage: Haggai 2:1–9

As we continue our study of the book of Haggai, we see the stark reality of a broken-down temple that is "nothing" compared to the former temple that was constructed under King Solomon. Yet, God declares three different times that his people should "be strong."  How can they feel strong in the midst of such great difficulty? Because God says, "I am with you, according to the covenant that I made with you... My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear Not." It's the covenant faithfulness of God that allows us to look at the reality of our circumstances and still have hope.
